PPAI Partners With Sage to Highlight Suppliers With ESG and DEI Certifications

PPAISignaling the broad impact of growing demands for greater sustainability and inclusion in business, the Promotional Products Association International and Sage have partnered to enable over 45,000 Sage users filter the product search engine for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and diversity certifications.
 
SAGEOver 45,000 users of the Sage promotional product and brand database will now be able to search companies by various ESG and diversity certifications. Click here for the official announcement.
 
The service apparently responds to the numerous companies last year who “explained to PPAI the importance of diversity certifications for promo businesses for which they could apply.”
 
The database will also be searchable by B-Corp certifications, “which are an increasingly important part of not only doing good by the world but proving that the promo industry is moving forward. Doing business with diverse suppliers and partners who make Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives a forward-facing part of their companies is something that clients are expecting of distributors. SAGE Total Access users will now be able to filter companies based on whether they have these certifications.”
 
In addition to filter options will be B-Corp or CSR-certified, as well as search for companies that are disability-owned, Hispanic-owned and LGBTQ+-owned. According to the announcement, users were already able to search for businesses that were owned by women, veterans, and minorities.
 
A recent Incentive Research Foundation study also finds that sustainability issues are increasing in the motivational events and incentive business as well.
