PFI Sees Robust Growth from Distributors and Travel

Partners for Incentives, a leading master fulfillment company based in Cleveland, will experience robust growth in 2020 because of increased sales from promotional distributors and the replacement of group travel with merchandise and other non-cash experiences.
PFIDespite the economic impact of the pandemic, Mary Anne Comotto, Principle of Partners for Incentives, says her company’s business will grow this year because more promotional distributors EW focused on selling programs and because a large number of incentive travel events are switching to merchandise and other non-cash awards.
Partners for Incentives is a 69-year-old master fulfillment company that specializes in supporting promotional distributors and other solution providers seeking to bring incentive, recognition, loyalty, and related programs to their clients.
“Our business from promotional distributors is significantly up because many are looking for new growth areas and because many companies that planned to run incentive travel programs have instead offered recipients points to redeem on our catalogs,” she says. “Because of the cancellation and postponement of many events, the demand for their traditional promotional products business has declined.”
As a result, “At one point, we were down for the year, but now with the new programs coming on, this is going to be better than last year.”
She says that her company has also seen a marked shift in merchandise redemptions toward items for the home or outdoor use, anything from exercise equipment, sewing machines, lawn furniture, and bikes. “Our biggest challenge,” she adds, “is that the supply chain is broken. It is simply impossible to get certain products right now. There has been some improvement, but I don’t think it will be until early next year that things are close to normal.”
