Kitting comes in many forms, explains Nicole Brown, Director of Sales Operations and Strategy at Links Unlimited, a master fulfillment company based on Cincinnati.
“Kitting is an innovative service that Links Unlimited offers to allow our customers the ability to ship more than one item together and simplify the delivery of those multiple items by packaging everything in one shipment and drop-shipping to individual recipients,” explains Brown.
“A straightforward kitting job could consist of a point-of-sale fixture kitted with marketing collateral, a custom overseas beverage cooler shipped to us to be paired with inventoried stemware, or an incentive gift shipped with a custom thank you card. We also use kitting to deliver a full gifting experience to our customers. A New Hire kit would be a great example of kitting for gifts. From expertly chosen premium items to the luxury gift box and crinkle paper, with a custom branded sticker or welcome aboard insert, gifting provides a personal touch to each individual recipient.”

Links Unlimited does not focus on just one type of kitting, she points out. “From working with manufacturers to ensuring that all the parts to a new widget are grouped together and shipped out to working with customers on creating their new premium Thank You gifts for all 500 of their employees, Links Unlimited kits it all.”
She concludes, “We provide a customized quote for every project that comes through our door to make sure we are providing a turnkey experience for each one of our customers. We put our best foot forward, making sure we provide competitive rates, streamlined processes and expert execution so that our customers can rest easy knowing that we will deliver on time, every time.”
