Marc Spiwak Joins Abt Electronics

Abt Electronics has brought in Hammacher Schlemmer veteran Marc Spiwak to help revitalize its corporate sales operation. Spiwak will also head up the retailer’s promotional sales, trade show and partnership functions. Spiwak began his career as a sales rep for Adams Apple Distributing, and later brought his sales skills to Hammacher Schlemmer, where he helped drive sharp revenue gains. “I met Marc nine years ago at a trade show and have followed his career ever since,” says Abt co-president Mike Abt. “When we decided to develop our corporate sales department, I knew we had to look no further than Marc.” Chicago-based Abt is the industry’s 31st largest CE and appliance dealer, with sales of nearly half a billion dollars in 2014, according to TWICE’s Top 100 CE/Major Appliance Retailers Report.
